By Air – The airport at Pondicherry can accommodate landing of a small aircraft only. So best option to arrive Pondicherry by air is to land at Chennai Domestic/ International Airport.
By Bus – There are several buses that ply frequently from Chennai, Thanjaur, Trichy, Coimbatore, Bangalore and Madurai to Pondicherry.
By Train – Puducherry railway station is very well connected to all major parts of the country.

Instructions for arriving at La Grace
Road/Self Drive –
- On the East Coast road as you approach Auroville, there are two turns that lead into Auroville which are about 800 meters apart. The Southern turn is used to get to Roma's kitchen and is most often used when going to Matrimandir from Pondicherry. The Northern turn leads to College Road and is best known for its major landmark called Mango Hill resort. Take the Northern turn into College Road.
- Cross Mango Hill resort and continue down College Road for one more kilometer.
- The road abruptly splits with a left turn which takes you to Aurelec, etc. Do not turn but continue straight on College Road for another 200 meters.
- La Grace is the large bluish-grey building on your right.
