Known for his visionary leadership of the company he founded in 1973, Hasmukh P. "H.P." Rama is the chairman of the board and the CEO of one of the premier hospitality group based in USA & India. After obtaining his MBA from Xavier University, he now concentrates on strategic planning, finances, acquisitions, and sales. Rama's commitment to excellence has won him a number of awards, including the Excellence and Inspiration Award, the Pioneer Award, and the International Businessperson of the Year Award. He is also the founding chairman of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) and served as a past chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), the largest hotel association in the world.

With over four decades in the group, Manhar P. "M.P." Rama served as the chief operating officer. He was responsible for profitability, overall property management, and maintaining the company standards of excellence - as well meeting franchise standards. He was also responsible for construction management of all "ground-up" hotels and all new major renovations. Rama began his work as the director of operations. His leadership, dedication, and poise earned him a reputation as a solid asset to the company. M.P. has two children: a son who graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in hotel administration and a daughter who graduated from Emory University with a master's degree in public health.

Dharmendra J. "D.J." Rama is responsible for overall property management, profitability, and maintaining the standards of excellence at all our locations. He serves on the Owner's Advisory Councils for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Marriott Hotels and Resorts. He obtained a bachelor's degree in hospitality management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and a master's degree in hospitality management from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. He has worked for Holiday Inn Worldwide, Interstate Hotels, and the Marriott Corporation on his way to joining the hospitality group in 1996 and serving in various positions throughout the company. Beyond his work with the company, D.J. also shares the fresh lake air with his son, has a passion for visiting unique hotels, and has found a new love for cycling.

With over 20 years' experience Nayan Banker has proved his mettle as chief financial officer. He spends his days analyzing the funding needs of the company, monitoring operating budgets to keep the company running efficiently, overseeing and producing financial statements, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining fiscal responsibility. He previously served as the general manager of finance with General Finance in Surat, India. When outside the office, Nayan enjoys adventurous travel with his wife and son. He also dives into science fiction and watches a match or two of cricket or tennis.

A founding member of this prestigious group, Jayanti P. "J.P." Rama has been the president of the company since 1978. Along with his overall leadership, he specifically manages procurement of operating supplies as well as furniture, fixtures and equipment for new construction and renovation projects. He also stewards vendor relations, manages invoice approval and payments processing, and ensures customer-satisfaction focus and quality assurance are instilled throughout the company. Before guiding the organization to its current success, Rama owned a global retail and wholesale business. His cosmopolitan experience in retail-from the United Kingdom to Japan-has given him a keen business sense that continues to serve him as a pioneer in the hospitality industry. J.P. strives to live a balanced life through nutrition, exercise and spiritual wellbeing. He loves exploring the world, watching movies, listening to soothing music and being in nature.

Responsible for managing information technology infrastructure, Raman P. "R.P." Rama is the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer/Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for establishing the company's management information system and technology initiatives. Rama has led the company into the information technology revolution and stays current with the trends within this industry. He implements these technologies at the resource center and throughout the group's properties. Thanks to his leadership, the IT department has increased the efficiency of all departments with workflow automation in reporting and electronic document management, eliminating a great deal of paper waste. Rama has a bachelor's degree in business and accounting, and a CHA (certified hotel administrator) designation by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He's also certified as a CHTP (Certified Hospitality Technology Professional) and has a CHAE (Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive) designation by both the Hospitality Financial Technology Professionals Association and the Educational Institute of American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Suresh Mathur recently rejoined as the chief operating officer, after previously serving with distinction as the vice president of operations from 1993-1999. As the COO, Suresh Mathur oversees the company's India operations. He is a proven specialist in developing and opening new properties; re-positioning and turning around underperforming hotels; and designing and implementing operating systems, facilities, and planning. With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Suresh has a proven track record and experience in developing, managing, and marketing all major brands, with a particular focus on Hilton, Marriott, Intercontinental, and Starwood brands. He is a specialist in developing and opening new properties; re-positioning and turning around underperforming hotels; and designing and implementing operating systems, facilities, and planning. His background covers all aspects of development and operation of hotels, restaurants, lounges, and convention centers. This includes project development, management, marketing, human resources, training, public relations, accounting and financial management, and corporate affairs. Suresh's association goes back to 1993. He moved to India in 2011 to look after the groups Hotels of India operations.

Anoop Chungath has recently inducted onboard of Haywood Hospitality as Operations Manager of our La Grace based near Pondicherry. Before joining La Grace, Anoop has been associated with AURO University, Surat and has held various positions and responsibilities. He has obtained a Bachelor's degree in science and then went to pursue his masters in hospitality, travel and tourism management from Southern Cross University Gold Coast campus, Australia. He holds a strong proficiency in linguistics like English, Hindi, Malayalam & Gujarati. When outside the office, Anoop enjoys spending qualitative time with his wife & parents. He loves food, travelling and also enjoys watching movies.
